2021 Booker Longlist Predictions

As much as I think The International Booker is great, I just get SUPER excited when the Booker Longlist is announced, This year it will be on the 27th July and I can’t wait. Furthermore there’s been a ton of excellent books in 2021 so I do have high hopes that this longlist will be a strong one.

As always, I try to choose according to the topics that are being discussed in current society.

Separatist politics

Climate Change

Generally my track record is not too bad, I usually guess between 4 and 6 books.

We’ll see

What do you think?

Many thanks to the Booker Foundation for letting me use their logo

If you’re right, I need to get five books.

interesting. I was wondering if anybody was going to predict Cold New Climate. I thought it might be listed as the book nobody has ever heard of, alas, it’s now been mentioned 3 times which excludes it

Hmm how about Helen Mirren’s The Service?

I couldn’t begin to make a guess, but I hope Jon McGregor is on there, his last book is one of the best “only read it because of the Booker” reads… that and Days Without End.

Reservoir 13 is a perfect novel. Fullstop. Funnily enough I really didn’t get on with Days… I found the narrative too drawn out.
